Hi everybody. After an exhausting weekend for my dad and some set backs we had worries confirmed. My dad has developed an infection in the skin around the surgical site in the femur. We are waiting for him to go to surgery today to clean out the wound site and carefully monitor the infection. We will update further when we hear anything. Please contiue to keep my dad in your thoughts and prayers. Thank you.

Despite the discourageing infection I'm pleased to read about Joe's progress. It was hard for me to imagine him without being able to speak. My thoughts are with you Joe as well as all the Ferraro's out there. Much love for the blogging which must get tired. It has helped set my mind at ease and the progress is so encouraging and inspired.
Yes a set back but consider how far Joe has come since the accident.Now he can speak and that will help him and everyone around him, as I am sure he had a lot of frustration trying to communicate.
He is getting the best of care and is getting better.
